Why not BHP?Job OverviewThe Principal Portfolio Management is responsible for implementing and managing planning and improvement actions across the Vice Presidency of Development and Strategic Services and supporting the team to implement and manage the Copper Growth Plan.In this role you will:Coordinate the Project's Portfolio at their early stage, working together with the Projects' Managers. Support implementation of the integrated programs of work to support key growth programs – including integrated reports and routines to identify material interactions, risks, prioritization requirements, and trade-off decisions.The role is immersed in the Corporate Planning Cycle which includes the Life of Assets, the 2-year budget linked to the Life of Asset working with a vast range of internal and external stakeholders.The role will provide insightful strategic planning analysis, conducting roadmap planning and integrate the outcome providing a compelling narrative of VP Development & Strategic Services.Develop and challenge capital costs, operating costs information and/or other related financial aspects of the projects in their early stages to ensure optimal project outcomes.Act as a point of integration for Vice Presidency team members, connecting individuals to share information and engagements when there are overlapping stakeholders and agendas. Develop and maintain leadership routines, engagements and team development sessions to optimise the effectiveness of the Function.Lead improvements associated with function's Engagement and Perception Survey results, implementing BHP Operational System routines.Network with key stakeholders of the Vice Presidency Function to understand the voice of the customer, suggesting operating model changes as required to maintain the highest level of effectiveness and efficiency.Support Finance and Human Resources Business Partners to manage the development and maintenance of the Vice Presidency budget and workforce plan.This role is based in Santiago with flexible working arrangements including working from home, and often site (mines) visits.About YouTertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline(s), industrial, commercial or related discipline.Typically, 10+ years' professional experience, with at least 5 years in the mining industry.Proven influence and people engagement/stakeholder management skills at all levels of the business and seniority and working in multiple geographical regions.Team integration experience, and ideally high experience in working in and with cross-functional teams of teams and agile team management practices.High team player, collaborative and integrative way of working skills.Excellent proven communication skills, both in Spanish and English, in all dimensions; graphic, written, verbal, etc.Strong action/delivery orientation and superior problem-solving and decision-making skills.About Our ProcessAt BHP, we are committed to hiring individuals who align with our values charter.
