Description

SUPPORT SPECIALIST-FACILITIES SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specialist 5:

- Act as System Courier delivering materials and supplies to all five branches.
- Provide minor repairs and support to facilities and staff as assigned by administration.
- Provide assistance to Specialist 2 including painting, lawn care, snow removal, custodial duties, etc.
- Custodial Maintenance of all facilities.
- Daily maintenance, care, and landscaping of all library grounds.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Facilities maintenance or construction trade experience desired.
- Valid Drivers Licenses
- Ability to work with people of all ages.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.

- Strong attention to detail.

PHYSICAL TASKS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

- Lift and/or move up to 100 lbs and have the ability to push or pull at least 200 lbs on wheels.
- Extensive bending, stooping, pulling, reaching, kneeling, and crouching.
- Regularly stand on a stool or ladder.
- Must be proficient in the use of hand tools.
- Communicate effectively.
- Operate technology equipment.
- Operate maintenance equipment and heavy machinery.
- Manual dexterity: Able to use hands and fingers to handle books, paper, and technology.
- Exposure to dust, dirt, adhesives, and toner.
