As part of the Gas Power One Field Services team, FieldCore installs, maintains and upgrades power generation equipment, enabling operators of the world's energy infrastructure to provide more reliable and affordable energy.
Job Summary
The Tooling Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining, coordinating, updating records, performing visual inspections, and coordinating shipping for the tooling warehouse. The Tooling Coordinator will update the company databases as appropriate, ensuring accurate materials and tooling status. You may be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization's core values.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Track tooling and calibration work orders that are open and need to be processed.
- Track shipments sent to customers/Field Service Representatives for repairing customer parts and tools being returned for calibration.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure that each kit has the proper quantity and tools needed.
- Update records of tools that have been calibrated or need calibration.
- When new tools are purchased, they are added to the database.
- Coordinate and package all supplies needed for outages.
- Monitor each kit before shipping to ensure a kit template and calibration certificate are enclosed.
- As stock is depleted, issue purchase orders to vendors to order parts and maintain inventory of tools and supplies.
- Maintain warranty records for parts and request replacements from manufacturers/vendors for parts that wear out within the warranty period.
- Coordinate the shipping of parts with Service Managers to ensure on-time delivery of kits and coordinate the shipping of kits that need repairs from the sites.
- Conduct visual inspections of specialized kits from the sites to ensure completeness and replace parts as necessary.
- Follow and update the Field Service Tooling procedures to ensure compliance.
- Submit billing reports.
- Maintain housekeeping of the warehouse to meet EHS standards.
- Meet or exceed customer-requested delivery dates for kits as noted on work orders provided by Services Managers or Supervisors.
- Maintain records for kits that have been processed.
- Create and manage purchase orders for replacement parts for kits.
- Stock tools and kit parts to ensure availability per each site's specific requirements as outlined in specification sheets.
- Ensure that kits are delivered on time with no quality issues (missing parts or non-working parts) once delivered.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Travel may be required.
- Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required by field assignments.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or 2 years of experience in a sourcing-related role, or a High School Diploma and 5 years of logistics planning and execution experience.
- Must be able to read and interpret technical manuals.
