S/he has the daily operative responsibility to ensure safe and efficient production in the power plants, as well as supervise the availability at all times. Strategic Operations Manager holds the total responsibility for all aspects of the HSE work in his portfolio.S/he coordinates asset related activities to maximize value of an asset or asset portfolio over the lifetime (in accordance with the standards and requirements defined by local legislation and Statkraft´s governing documents), through balancing of costs, risks, opportunities and performance benefits.**The position has the following responsibilities**:Health and Safety:- Be ultimately responsible for developing and maintaining a HSS culture within own unit, and following closely the ambition of zero injuries- Ensure safety planning and safe work processes for all relevant activities- Establish emergency response plans to ensure business continuity, including evaluating the need for spare part strategies, transportation plans for heavy components and agreements with key suppliers.- Develop risk mitigation activities for residual uncertainties and prepare the organisation for managing emergencies.Strategic Asset Management:- Optimize life cycle profitability of the asset portfolio, including identifying opportunities of value creations and improvements- Secure optimal development and reinvestment plans for the assets to ensure sustainable value creation- Prepare asset plans and annual updates for all assets in the country- Prepare performance and indicator reports for the Asset OperationOperation and maintenance:- Ensure that risks are identified, analysed and evaluated sufficiently early to establish mitigating actions- Maximise the profits through close cooperation between the O&M process and the energy management.- Ensure that timing and duration of maintenance is risk-based and market-driven; the assets are available when they are needed in the market.- Ensure optimal and efficient maintenance in a long term perspective, in accordance with market opportunities, technical restrictions and regulations- Establish principles for availability planning, operation and maintenance and ensure an adequate way of carrying this through- Be responsible and accountable for dam and catchment safety management, including compliance with Statkraft's Dam, Waterway and Catchment Safety Principles- Responsible for all project planning within mandate for own unit - initiate, plan and carry out within given time frame according to Statkraft's project model and governing documentsDevelopment:- Develop a good collaboration with local authorities and communities- Drive improvements and support sufficient development of competence and systems/tools related to Statkraft's operations- Develop employees and empowered teams according to Statkraft's Leadership Platform, give purpose and direction- Contribute in the country management team and its developmentPerformance Management:- Participate in planning and oversee in annual budget process, plans, larger investments and improvements decisions or hiring significant or strategic subcontractors- Follow up on budgets and targets set for own unit**Requisitos**:**Education**- Higher relevant education within engineering, preferably at Master´s level.**Experience / knowledge**- Solid operational experience and understanding- Solid knowledge of the industry and its regulations- Solid experience from portfolio -, performance - and risk management - including the facilitation of asset allocation- Strong communication skills, both in English and spanish is mandatory**Leadership / abilities**- Leadership skills with an ability to build trust and empowerment- Relationship builder with the ability to collaborate constructively with business and functional leaders- High personal integrity and high ethical standards, with strong HSSE understanding and commitment- Strong commercial mindset and drive with ability to make good judgements, take decisions and create results- Analytical, strategic, pro-active, able to work under pressureInformación adicional**What
