Strategic Account Manager RoleAs a Strategic Account Manager at Wesco International, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and developing key relationships with our most valued clients. Your primary objective will be to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities, ensuring customer satisfaction and driving business growth.Key Responsibilities:Develop and Execute Strategic Account Plans: Collaborate with the Sales team to create and implement tailored account plans that meet the unique needs of our key clients.Drive New Business Development: Research, qualify, and present new business opportunities to assigned territory or market segment, leveraging your expertise to drive growth.Build and Maintain Relationships: Foster strong relationships with priority customer stakeholders, understanding their key business issues and recommending solutions to deliver value.Liaise between Teams: Work closely with the field and Global Accounts teams to pursue new agreements, Value-Add/Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) commitments, and increase customer wallet-share.Manage Opportunity Pipelines: Oversee a pipeline of opportunities at named accounts, including renewals, projects, and share improvement opportunities.Communicate Progress: Regularly update management on customer activity, opportunity status, renewal status, and strategic plan progress.Participate in Solution Development: Contribute to solution development efforts that address customer needs, working closely with supplier sales resources to create solutions.Requirements:Education: High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.Experience: 5+ years proven sales experience in outside sales or 3+ years strategic account and/or sales management.Skills: History of success maintaining and developing key relationships, knowledge of business and management principles, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office.Personal Qualities: Self-starter, able to work efficiently under pressure, experience in executing in a matrix organization managing multiple stakeholders and projects, ability to travel up to 25%.Wesco International, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
