The Position We've been able to craft a best-in-class app for iOS and Mac, and now want to offer Web and Android users the same level of user experience. To achieve this, we need to provide backend APIs which can support all of our platforms in an efficient and scalable way. We're looking for a Staff Backend Engineering Manager to lead these efforts together with our current Backend engineers. In this role, you'll work closely with our Product and Client teams to define and develop the necessary backend technologies for our current and upcoming platforms. We already have an excellent group of Backend engineers, and are looking to scale it to the next level. This is a hybrid position based in Santiago, Chile. You'll be required to come into our office at least 2 times a week along with the rest of the team. We work from home the rest of the week, but the office is always available in case you want to make use of it more often.
\n Your ResponsibilitiesManage our Backend team to deliver new features required to support our iOS/macOS/Android/Web offerings.Review our Backend team's architecture and infrastructure to propose improvements in our Backend Developer Experience.Work closely with the Product and Client teams to scope and prioritize the work needed to support new features.Help us in future hiring efforts for the Backend team. Required Qualifications7+ years of experience working on backend services.Extensive experience developing with Node/Javascript.Experience with Google Cloud Platform.Experience in API design and architecture for mobile and web apps.English proficiency.
