We're looking for a Development Quality Assurance Manager who shares our passion.
The Role Working Hours: Mondays - Fridays, 6AM-3PM Central European Time 1PM-10PM Asia/Manila 11PM-8AM Central Standard Time Salary Range: 1300-2000 USD (subject to evaluation of experience and skill level) The Development QA Manager will focus on ensuring high-quality outcomes across all development tasks within their specialization (Webflow, WordPress, or Shopify).
This role involves mentoring developers, developing and refining processes, improving turnaround times, and fostering a culture of self-sustainability among the team.
The QA Manager will oversee 10-15 developers and conduct at least two QA cycles daily.
This role is pivotal in ensuring that our development team produces high-quality work consistently, meets project deadlines, and grows into a self-reliant, high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities Quality Assurance Perform two QA cycles daily (before and after lunch), thoroughly reviewing all development deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards, client requirements, and platform best practices.
Provide detailed feedback to developers, focusing on actionable insights for improvement.
Establish and maintain QA checklists and documentation tailored to the specific platform (Webflow, WP, or Shopify).
Ensure consistent adherence to coding standards, design integrity, and responsive functionality.
Mentorship and Team Development Act as a mentor for developers, guiding them to improve technical skills, problem-solving capabilities, and efficiency.
Conduct regular 1:1 check-ins with developers to provide feedback, address challenges, and support professional growth.
Develop and deliver training sessions to improve developers' expertise in their respective platforms and ensure they stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Encourage developers to become self-sustainable by teaching troubleshooting skills and decision-making frameworks.
Process Improvement Develop and refine workflows to improve the quality and efficiency of development tasks.
Identify recurring issues or inefficiencies and propose scalable solutions to prevent them.
Implement systems for tracking QA trends, common issues, and developer performance over time.
Collaborate with the operations and project management teams to streamline communication and task handoffs.
Reporting and Communication Regularly communicate QA trends, team performance metrics, and actionable insights to leadership.
Provide clear guidance to project managers and clients about quality expectations and improvements.
Document best practices, lessons learned, and evolving guidelines for development tasks.
Leadership and Advocacy Foster a positive, growth-oriented team culture.
Encourage and support innovation within the team to improve processes and outcomes.
Act as the primary advocate for quality and technical excellence in all development projects.
Key Metrics for Success Quality Metrics: Reduction in errors/bugs reported post-delivery.
Adherence to platform-specific standards and guidelines.
Developer Growth: Improvement in developer self-sufficiency and reduced need for QA interventions over time.
Positive feedback from developers on mentorship and training effectiveness.
Turnaround Time: Decrease in average task completion time without compromising quality.
Process Adherence: Consistent use of documented workflows and QA processes.
Must-Haves: Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the specialized platform (Webflow, WordPress, or Shopify).
Strong understanding of front-end development, responsive design, and web performance optimization.
Leadership Skills: Proven experience mentoring and managing development teams.
