About the RoleJoin our dynamic team as a Specialist Finance Planning & Reporting supporting the Finance function. As a key player in our team, you will work with multidisciplinary stakeholders formulating and implementing robust financial planning and reporting strategies tailored to the unique challenges and opportunities within the mining industry. Your role will involve gathering and validating timely and accurate inputs for the development of meticulous financial models, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring alignment with the specific needs of mining operations, from mine to port. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you'll gather, process, analyze, and interpret financial data to provide crucial insights that support strategic decision-making in the mining sector. Your expertise will guide the preparation of comprehensive financial reports, addressing the intricacies of mining finance, and presenting these findings to senior leadership. Key Accountabilities: Collaborate with operations and cross-functional teams to gather inputs, analyze, and interpret 2-Year Budget and quarterly forecasts, focusing on driving performance to benchmarks.Uses models, systems and tools to provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to senior management, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.Works with FBP's to ensure there is a robust plan for delivery of functional plans including, but not limited to 2-Year Budget and quarterly forecasts. Focus on driving performance to benchmarks is crucial.Preparation of monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual financial reports, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to key stakeholders.Evaluate and enhance existing financial processes, systems, and controls to optimize efficiency and effectiveness by leading digital transformation strategy.Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal partners, fostering collaboration and effective communication.Provides critical and accurate financial analysis to support decisions on tactical and strategic business challenge.About YouTo be a top performer you will need: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or professional certification (e.g., CPA) it's a plus.Advanced English Proficiency.At least 5 years experience in financial planning, reporting, and analysis roles, with a focus on strategic decision support.Advanced Excel proficiency. SAP, Power BI or other reporting are a plus.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information clearly to diverse audiences.Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.About Our Process At BHP, we are committed to hiring individuals who align with our values charter.
