The Services Department is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of our customers' wind farms, ensuring the best performance of each turbine during its useful life. As a key team to maintain our customer's loyalty for the long term, the Service Sales Manager uses his skills and training to match customer needs transforming it into a value proposition. This role involves a very diverse daily work full of opportunities and room for improvements in line with Vestas guidance as well as creative thinking on a daily basis. Responsibilities Direct front-end assessment of business opportunities leveraging Vestas team and its network of colleagues globally to provide sales & service solutions. Build strategy to ensure Vestas meets FOI, Revenue and CM targets for all segment revenue streams. Structure deals with the full breadth of Vestas in mind to understand and support the organizational linkages and impacts. Accountable for product line leadership and collaborates cross-functionally with colleagues to promote successful transactions. Develop sales strategy and negotiate sound business deals with customers in accordance with company standards. Solid leadership in account management activities including issue resolution at different corporate levels. Create and deliver powerful speeches to demonstrate the unique value proposition. Coordinate all aspects of RFP/RFI responses, developing the team through market opportunities. Direct contract negotiations through its phases from the offer proposition up to its signature. Collect and convey internal intelligence. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or Economics; MBA degree preferred. 10 years' experience in technical sales, commercial customer communications, contract negotiation, or legal knowledge with distinct expertise in at least one of these disciplines. 10+ years' experience selling power generation equipment to utilities in the wind industry or complex capital equipment sales. Demonstrated achievement in the negotiation and closing of complex long-cycle larger capex agreements where long-term partnering is crucial to achievement. Understanding of commercial terms, negotiation strategy, balancing business profitability and customer needs. Ability to supervise customer accounts and support team selling. Aptitude to identify business opportunities and initiate customer contact including cold calling. Solid leadership skills; demonstrated ability in coaching, mentoring, motivating, and developing employees to achieve a highly aligned, motivated, and engaged team. Demonstrated continuous improvement and quality methodology skills. Effective issue resolution and structured problem-solving methodology. Effective communication skills in Spanish and English (verbal & written); Portuguese would be desirable. Ability to perform under high priority and progressive work environment handling multiple deliverables. Ability to understand financial and technical language and translate it into customer value propositions. Ability to function effectively in a time-sensitive setting, in environments of rapid change and conflicting demands. Ability to assimilate technical and commercial information and translate that into appropriate business assessments. Solid professional verbal and written communication skills required.
