Senior Contract Management Position Pharma & Biotech

The Role:
We are looking for a Full-Time Senior Contract Management Associate to join us from a fully remote position based in Chile providing services to one of the leading pharma and biotech companies in the world.
As a member of our team, you'll be responsible for supporting their client's business by drafting and negotiating a wide range of contracts as part of a wider general support service to the client's contracts management and procurement needs.
Responsibilities/Role Description:
- Manage (draft, monitor, review, analyze) contracts and/or associated contractual documents related to pharmaceutical industry, including manufacturing, packaging and delivery systems/partnering with institutions and individuals in relation to various pharma-related initiativesin collaboration with multi-functional teams across global organization
- Negotiate or support negotiations of contractual terms and conditions with third parties by providing redlined recommendations, advising on legal and business risks spotted or contributing during real-life negotiations
- Maintain attention to detail throughout all stages of contract lifecycle to ensure its compliance with applicable requirements
- Accurately use available tools and technology (including CLM)
- Adhere to relevant industry standards, internal policies and compliance requirements governing the contracting organization
- Use, update and revise contract templates, playbooks, guidance and other documents in line with applicable requirements and current business needs
- Support contract management and legal projects as well as improvement initiatives on as needed basis
- Track work progress in relevant systems and tools to ensure accuracy of data gathered and reported against agreed KPIs
Relevant Experience and Education:
- Relevant education in the field of law with a minimum of 6 years of work experience (Juris Doctor – Lawyer
- Min.
3 years of experience in contract management (contracts drafting, reviewing and negotiation), ideally with pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
- Proven experience in managing, analyzing and negotiating contracts and contractual documents, preferably in a global organization
Skills and Exposure to Relevant Matters:
- Acquaintance with standard contract types such as statement of work, confidentiality agreement, material transfer agreement, equipment and evaluation agreement, amendment, license agreement, master services agreement/services/consulting agreement, statement of work, confidentiality agreement, amendment with representatives of pharmaceutical organizations or their employees
- In-depth knowledge of legal concepts and clauses (e.g. IP, liability, indemnification, confidentiality, termination, warranties etc.)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with business functions in multinational environment
- Meticulousness and precision
- Understanding of manufacturing, packaging and delivery processes in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus
- Understanding of FMV standards in various jurisdictions is a plus
- Superior organizational and time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding and deadline-driven environment
- Understanding of client-centered approach in managed services industry and ability to facilitate relationship with client stakeholders is a plus
Tech & Language:
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Word, Outlook
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, ability to convey complex information clearly and precisely
- Familiarity with Contract Lifecycle Management systems is a plus (CLM)
