Department: Commercial - Sales & Account Management Location: Santiago, Chile Description Aurora is an industry leader in providing energy market forecasts, analysis, insights, and consultancy due to two reasons – 1) a highly skilled technical team and 2) an active commercial team who are well integrated with our client base, helping them make better informed investment decisions. Based in Santiago, we are seeking a Senior Commercial Associate to join our dynamic and multi-national global commercial team in a fast paced and stimulating environment. You will play a key role in all aspects of client interactions and business development of our energy analytics subscription business. The successful candidate will combine a strong commercial mindset, great communication and relationship management skills, passion to develop new business, high eagerness to learn, and interest in energy markets. You will work in a young, dynamic, stimulating, demanding and collaborative environment. Aurora is establishing itself in Santiago, Chile, in 2025. We expect to start our operations in the country in March, and therefore, this professional is expected to start until the end of 2025 1st Quarter. Key Responsibilities Build and manage a portfolio of key client accounts, developing a trusted advisor relationship with key customer stakeholders and executives. Manage deals from start to end, generating and qualifying leads, developing proposals, and negotiating contracts. Use Salesforce CRM to ensure standard processes during all sales stages. Establish an efficient interface with Marketing on the go-to-market and commercialization strategy for our energy analytics and data subscription business. Represent Aurora in a range of client meetings, conferences and other public forums. Contribute to new product development and continuous improvement of our existing services. Required Attributes Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Experience in business development, account management or client success. Strong commercial mindset, including creativity and intuition for opportunities that create impact and commercial success. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Ability to remain calm under pressure and cope with uncertainty. Results-driven, with a high degree of persistence in reaching goals and a hands-on approach to ensuring targets are achieved. A can-do attitude and willingness to help wherever needed e.g. improving internal systems and processes. Enthusiasm and curiosity about the energy transition. Fluency in Spanish. Proficiency in English (C1 level). Desirable Attributes Experience in business development, account management or client success within the energy sector. Experience selling research or some form of subscription service. Experience with Salesforce or other CRM system.
