Job Summary: The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling technical or scientific products to prospective customers. They use their technical knowledge to explain product specifications and complex concepts to customers, perform demonstrations of technical products, and analyze customer needs to recommend relevant products. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with clients, setting realistic sales targets, and meeting monthly sales goals. Technical Sales Representatives must have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to work independently and manage their sales territory effectively. Responsibilities: Prospecting and Lead Generation Identify potential clients and reach out to them Attend trade shows and networking events to generate leads Utilize online resources and social media to identify new opportunities Product Knowledge and Demonstration Become an expert on company's products and services Conduct product demonstrations for potential clients Communicate product features and benefits effectively to potential customers Sales and Negotiation Develop and maintain relationships with clients Understand client needs and offer appropriate solutions Negotiate pricing and terms of sales agreements Close sales and meet or exceed sales targets Customer Service and Support Provide ongoing support and assistance to clients Address and resolve customer concerns and issues Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and maintain relationships Market Analysis and Reporting Monitor industry trends and competitor activity Analyze sales data and identify areas for improvement Prepare reports and presentations for management and clients Collaboration and Communication Work closely with other departments (e.g. marketing, product development) to ensure alignment and support Communicate effectively with team members and management Coordinate with other sales reps to share information and best practices Continuous Learning and Development Stay current with industry developments and advancements Attend trainings and workshops to enhance sales skills and product knowledge Seek feedback and implement improvements to sales strategies and techniques.
