Join our dynamic team and make a real impact!What you get to do:Partner with our development team to design and optimize database schemasExecute database administration tasks, including schema management, user access control, and performance tuningEnsure the integrity and availability of our critical data through the implementation of robust end-to-end backup and recovery strategiesSafeguard our sensitive data by managing user access controls, implementing encryption measures, and optimizing our comprehensive database security protocolsProactively monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues using advanced monitoring tools and processesBe available for on-call support as required to address database emergencies and critical issuesConduct capacity planning to anticipate and accommodate future growth and resource requirementsStreamline operations by developing automated scripts to handle database maintenance and repetitive tasksManage database migrations, including cluster upgrades, version migrations, and transitions to cloud-based services such as AWSIdeal ProfileWhat it takes to succeed:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related technical field8 years of hands-on experience working as a Database Administrator, with at least 6 years specifically focused on PostgreSQL, as well as 1 year of experience working with MSSQLProficient in scripting languages like PowerShell and Python to automate database maintenanceKnowledge of tools like GitHub and TerraformProven experience architecting, planning, and implementing database migrations, especially to cloud platforms like AWS or AzureCommitted to continuous learning and professional developmentLet's also not forget languages (not the programming kind); While you will work with colleagues located throughout the world, English is our company language so it's important that you be able to communicate at a fluent level, in both spoken and written form.As a key member of our technical team, you will be expected to maintain high availability and be ready to address critical incidents, ensuring the continuous performance of our systems.
