Job Summary: In this role, you will be working as part of a team under the supervision of the Lead Process Engineer to deliver studies and projects for our mining customers. You will be working with other engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction to deliver projects that meet and exceed our customers' expectations for quality, cost, schedule, safety, and benefit to their business.
This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership. Major Responsibilities: Developing and checking the process deliverables that are typical of detailed engineering such as: design criteria; mass & energy balances; process flow diagrams; equipment sizing calculations; P&IDs and control philosophy.Coordinating with other engineering disciplines, procurement, construction, vendors, consultants, subject matter experts and client teams to deliver the project successfully.Contributing to the review and optimizations of project design, cost, safety, constructability, and schedule.Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree in Mineral Processing, Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.At least 2 years of experience as an engineer working in design in the minerals industry, including direct experience in developing the typical process engineering deliverables.Required Knowledge and Skills: Direct experience in copper concentrators, copper SX-EW and molybdenum will be highly regarded.Proficiency in English (written and spoken) will be highly regarded.Well-developed skills in teamwork, communication, problem solving and client engagement.For decades, Bechtel has worked to inspire the next generation of engineers and beyond!
