Principal Operational Readiness Chile About the role The Principal Operational Readiness will lead a portfolio of work designed to support our current and future project execution activities in Minerals Americas. The candidate will bring a strong background in Operational Readiness activities, project delivery, and demonstrated leadership in strategic planning and execution of these activities. This role will be responsible for the definition of the operational readiness strategy and plan to ensure business readiness of large capital projects to achieve the business case and required level of service delivery. Main Activities: Support HSE performance through proactive leadership, apply BHP's risk management framework and build a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes. Lead and facilitate the development and maintenance of Operational Readiness strategy, standards, processes, and plans for major capital projects. Support the development and execution of a capital optimization program, identifying improvement initiatives to increase capital efficiency and productivity within the Operational Readiness program. Provide Operational Readiness and Business Readiness expertise and coordinate resources deployed into a study team for the development of Operational Readiness related deliverables, including but not limited to plans, processes, and procedures. Act as a single point of contact for the Project or Study manager for all Operational Readiness deliverables and inputs. Elaborates OR budgets and schedule for both study and execution phases. Lead the ramp up readiness from planning to execution from Identification phase through Execution. Manage risks and implements and monitors controls related to Operational Readiness scope. Coordinate the execution of business readiness methodologies, strategies and plans in accordance with program/project systems and standards. Support and conduct data-analytics on all aspects of operational readiness execution, optimization, and improvement projects. Lead value creation through application of continuous improvement techniques to program standards and procedures. About You Metallurgic or Chemical Civil Engineering degree. Process Mining experience in development concentrate and hydrometallurgy projects in different stages: Identifications, Selection, Definitions, and Executions. Copper and Molybdenum experience with Concentrators and Hydrometallurgy preferred. Experience with asset hierarchies' establishment and maintenance planning systems, handling standard work instructions, processes and procedures development and training within green and brownfields plants preferred.
