Our strategy is to focus on creating a safe work environment where our employees feel strongly connected to our values and objectives, and where the capability of our people is key to our success.Come and be a part of this success.About the RoleProvide strategic Global Mobility advice to the Business, ensuring the delivery of effective and efficient Global Mobility activities in the South America region, supported by the wider Global Mobility team.Manage the provision of strategic support to the Businesses on global mobility moves for the South America region.Execute global mobility activities for executive employees assigned to or within the South America region, ensuring the delivery of activities for employees is timely and customer-focused whilst maintaining operational discipline.Act as a day-to-day contact for and provide specialist technical subject matter expertise in global mobility for the business and local HR in South America, including country-specific immigration and relocation activities, and external legal, regulatory and reporting requirements.Coach and support global mobility specialists (and IA payroll team where required) in respect to country-specific payroll or onboarding related activities, ensuring delivery is compliant, timely and employee experience-focused whilst maintaining operational discipline.Review and implement continuous improvement initiatives of GM processes, tools, templates, and systems to ensure compliance with regulatory and governance requirements in the region.Proactively seek opportunities to simplify, remove duplication and minimize hand-offs to enhance standardization, effectiveness and efficiency.Support the Global Mobility team with resolving complex employee and leader global mobility queries and support the Business with the escalation of service delivery and compliance issues in the region.Oversee and support with the remote worker/international flexible work arrangement population for the region, ensuring arrangements are compliant and aligned to BHP's internal framework.Support Manager Global Mobility and Lead Global Mobility (Americas) with managing external vendors as required to ensure high-quality service delivery and prompt resolution of issues.Identify risks and provide input into mitigations and action planning.Ensure Risk Management protocols are incorporated into operational activities.Maintain good working relationships with peers within the BHP HR community (GAS HR, Global Reward, HRBP's, HR Operations, Sub-Function SMEs).Represent Global Mobility on HR Americas initiatives and projects as required.Support the Manager Global Mobility as required.About YouThe ideal candidate should have:Experience with supporting the delivery and execution of global mobility policies, processes and initiatives in multinational organisations.Deep technical expertise with HR programs, including ability to think conceptually, analyse, problem solve and drive practical solutions.Knowledge of local and regional (South America) legal and regulatory requirements and documents.Ability to navigate complex issues and develop simplified processes to manage the complexity.Support the promotion of a culture of innovation, learning and development and continuous improvement with the team.Ability to influence others to achieve desired outcomes, including being able to work with people across all levels of the organisation (administrators to Vice Presidents) and cross-culturally as part of a global team.Able to translate data analytics into commercial insights.Degree or equivalent education required and/or international HR, GM or Reward roles.Experience with the management and understanding of global mobility programs and policies.Technical experience in global mobility concepts, methodologies and approaches as well as strong people management (directly or indirectly) in a global company.Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and strong analytical skills.Fluent in English, both verbal and written.RecommendedUnderstanding of reporting requirements and governance issues as they relate to tax and immigration and understanding of global jurisdictional differences, legislation and regulations.Good understanding of international HR and payroll processes, reporting and data management.Strong organizational skills and ability to handle numerous tasks simultaneously while prioritizing and meeting deadlines.Proficiency in use of the Microsoft Office suite, in particular Microsoft Excel; project management skills an advantage.Experience in SAP and AssignmentPro (or equivalent) preferred.
