This is a full-time post of 37 hours per week, with a shift pattern of 5 over 7. This is a fixed-term post until the end of March 2025.
It is essential that you are educated to Diploma/Degree level in either Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy while being registered with HCPC.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join the Acute team on a full-time temporary basis, to support additional beds over winter. You should have significant post-graduate experience with relevant previous clinical experience. This post involves a complex and varied caseload incorporating patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and discharge planning. You will be clinically responsible for rotational staff and support worker staff, managing staff on a daily basis. This post may require the post holder to participate in seven-day working/extended hours working.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37-hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
