The Manager, Projects for our DP World Chile position also has responsibility for direction of special infrastructure projects. It also advises the CEO and Business GMs on non-cargo handling asset management and other non-cargo handling equipment, asset and infrastructure projects. The position will analyze and propose investment plans according to commercial and operational requirements, with a focus on the efficiency, safety and sustainability of the operations, with the aim to ensure the maintenance of the Business Units infrastructure is maintained and new projects planned for and implemented.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Lead by example in the delivery of safe work practices and ensure the continual identification and management of hazards to reduce accidents and injury and implementing corrective actions where needed.Ensure that all projects comply with national and company environmental standards.Developing and propose the Annual Investment Plan (infrastructure) based on the volume of operations projected for DP World Chile.Monitor the use of existing infrastructure projects (such as Moor-Master), ensure they are maintained and invested in as needed.Help individual business units develop their own short-, medium- and long-term Civil engineering and non-cargo Asset Management plans to deliver on operational commitments and customer expectations.Review non cargo handling equipment projects for the Business Units to ensure operational needs are met in advance of growth. maintenance schedules are supported, and the profile is economically and operationally sustainable.Ensure that related activities in infrastructure are in line with the corporate, local and national guidelines.Ensuring innovation and best practice is utilized in all existing and new infrastructure projects.Give advice and direction to Terminal Operations Managers and their GM's and CEO Chile on any relevant civil engineering issues that may impact on customer service.Help BUs set annual project & infrastructure budgets and review their use with CEO and GMs.QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Degree in Civil Engineering.Other tertiary qualifications in business, operational management, logistics or other relevant field or extensive relevant work experience.Track record of leading a project team.Previous experience in line management with a large customer focused operation, in stevedoring, transport or related field.Experience in working in a Safety Management System environment.Sound business acumen.Strong leadership skills with the ability to identify, analyse and solve business, commercial and operational problems.Sound understanding of financial and management accounting.High Level of English.DP World is committed to the principles of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO).
