The business units are supported by enterprise-wide functions that set strategic direction, establish standards and provide governance, as well as supporting the business through shared services, centres of excellence, and business partnering. Reporting to the Director, Strategy, Planning and Performance, the Manager, Business Partner, LATAM, is responsible for ensuring Teck's mines leverage technology to meet or exceed their business goals. This outstanding candidate will be the strategic advisor between technology and operational sites across Latin America. They will manage relationships and leverage analytics to understand, identify, quantify, and prioritize business opportunities. Through strong leadership and a deep understanding of mining and processing operations, you will collaborate with senior business leaders to develop their technology strategy, ultimately ensuring technologies support excellence and evolving business needs. Responsibilities: Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures. Provide visible leadership to areas aligned to Teck's core values such as Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. Engage with business partners and analyze performance metrics to understand, identify, and prioritize company needs. Work with the business and technology teams to capture, translate, and enrich business requirements through design thinking and/or problem-solving sessions for new and existing services. Build and evaluate cases that support prioritization of investment decisions, such as improvements, new projects, and programs. Collaborate with and provide feedback to technology teams to ensure customer satisfaction. Work with senior business leaders to curate the technology strategy and create an operations-specific technology & capability roadmap that balances factors such as cost, time, risk, and strategic alignment. Support key planning and investment processes, such as 5-year planning, capital allocation, and annual business planning. Ensure the maintenance of a close working relationship with Teck teams critical to success, such as enterprise architecture, technology portfolio management, and mining operations teams. Develop and maintain lasting relationships with senior leaders as measured by customer satisfaction of technology services. Qualifications: Minimum 7 years within the mining industry, ideally across multiple commodities in Base Metals strategic investments. Strong breadth of knowledge across operational technology such as fleet management, autonomous haulage systems, condition monitoring platforms, and process control. Solid understanding of IT, such as efficiency tools, networking, and ERP applications. Working understanding of enterprise architecture and improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and frameworks such as ITSM is considered an asset. Significant ability to positively influence partners at various levels and departments across the business. Effective communication skills, written and oral, with an ability to translate across business and technology domains. Proven teammate. Process-focused and results-oriented. Bachelor's Degree or MBA preferred, or equivalent experience in mine engineering, process engineering, customer success, sales, business development, or account management. Broad understanding of the business of mining that leads to strong and clearly articulated value propositions. Why Join Us?
