The Stakeholder Management Director will be responsible for designing and implementing the Business Unit's stakeholder engagement strategy in the region for supporting the successful completion of the BU's targets.
This role will report to the LATAM BU CEO and to the Global Chief Stakeholder and Sustainability Officer; and will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team of the BU, participating in the implementation of Zelestra's business strategies and fostering collaborative relationships with external stakeholders.
Responsibilities STAKEHOLDER & SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGY AND EXECUTION Lead the development of Zelestra's Stakeholder & Sustainability strategy in the LATAM region, ensuring alignment with global goals and regional requirements.
Build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders, including communities, regulatory bodies, authorities, industry partners, and NGOs, to enhance the company's local reputation.
Drive key sustainability initiatives across operations, aligning with environmental, social, and governance objectives, including carbon footprint reduction, energy efficiency, waste management, and sustainable sourcing.
Provide regional data for the preparation of sustainability reports, monitor ESG performance, and ensure compliance with relevant local, national, and international regulations and frameworks.
Oversee sustainability certifications as needed.
REGULATORY ENGAGEMENT Engage with the relevant Authorities to develop the regulatory framework required for ensuring the achievement of the BU's targets.
Position Zelestra in relevant associations in the region as required for implementing the BU's business strategy and achieving its targets.
Ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards, managing risks proactively.
EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS Develop and execute the business unit's communication strategy in alignment with Zelestra's global policies.
Represent the company at public events, conferences, and forums.
Lead external communications, addressing any reputational risks impacting Zelestra's brand.
OTHER Work closely with country-level teams and SES area to integrate stakeholder principles into business operations and strategies.
Work closely with internal stakeholders across functions (e.g., operations, marketing, HR, legal) to integrate sustainability into the company's overall strategy.
Transpose and ensure alignment of Zelestra's social and sustainability global policies into the BU operations.
Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Sustainability, Business, or a related field.
A Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline is preferred.
A minimum of 15 years of experience in sustainability, corporate social responsibility, or stakeholder management, with at least 5 years of leadership experience in a multinational environment.
Proven track record of working within LATAM markets and understanding of regional regulations, cultural nuances, and sustainability challenges.
Experience in the renewable energy sector, including emerging technologies and best practices in areas such as Wind, Solar, BESS, and Green Hydrogen (H2).
Proficiency in both English and Spanish.
The position requires travel up to 50% of the time.
