Requisition ID: 278351 Relocation Authorized: NoneTelework Type: Full-Time Office/ProjectWork Location: SantiagoJob Summary: In this role, you will conduct field investigations and client interviews to determine work scope and cost estimates for a project's mechanical aspects. You will lead design, development, modification, and evaluation of mechanical components and processes. Your recommendations will resolve technical issues and ensure the unique and complex requirements of a project's mechanical aspects are met.
Major Responsibilities: Performing mechanical systems and material handling equipment design for mining industry projects including crushers, conveyors, pumps (Water and slurry distribution networks), stockpiles, grinding circuits and others related (mandatory requirement).Performing calculations and analysis leading to technical design recommendations.Preparing material requisitions, specifications, data sheets, and other procurement-related documents.Assisting and leading in vendor evaluation and technical bid evaluations.Coordinating with mechanical designers to produce designs and drawings to project standards.Coordinating with P&ID mechanical designers to produce drawings to project standards.Coordinating work and collaborating with other engineering disciplines and areas of the company.Preparing conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals.Providing technical assistance to other mechanical personnel and interacting with project functions, the client, in resolving complex regulatory issues and industry codes and standards.Providing assistance to project and construction management in identifying and meeting project mechanical requirements and addressing issues that arise during project execution.Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree in Mechanical Civil Engineering, and a minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience in mining.Required Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of material handling equipment applied in projects and equipment required in processes in the mining industry (mandatory).Knowledge of development and analysis of water and slurry network calculations.Knowledge of developing calculations for air networks, HVAC, tanks and fire protection systems (desirable).Desirable handling of BeltAnalyst software.Analytical problem-solving capabilities.Intermediate English level (spoken).Flexibility and enthusiasm for individual and team tasks.Demonstrated skills in oral and written communication.
