You will provide analysis of financial information, estimates of administrative costs, and prepare forecasts and cost and performance reports. Your recommendations for strategies and policies will help ensure service expenses are in accordance with Bechtel, client, and government requirements.
This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Major Responsibilities: Understand the bidding calendar milestones and plans in a timely manner the different proposal stages.Understand the Scope of Work / Scope of Service requested in the Request for Proposal (RFP).Interprets the commercial terms requested in the Request for Proposal (RFP) and summarizes the main elements (e.g., payment terms, currencies, bonds, insurance requirements, commercial forms required, etc.).Prepares questions regarding the RFP for sending to the customer for clarifications.Coordinates with other functions (e.g., Human Resources, Project Controls, Engineering, Business Development, Legal, etc.) for gathering on time and in the format required all the inputs needed for pricing.Performs relevant sensitivity cost analysis scenarios when appropriate.Benchmarks costs and quantities using historical data.Prepares the Gross Margin determination and Project Profitability Summary in accordance with Management Approval, prescribed procedures, and policies.Prepares and issues the commercial forms required in the RFP and the commercial proposal write-up.Supports the Capital Cost Estimate (CAPEX) development of the studies in execution.Coordinates with Treasury for the issuance of letters of credit (bid bond, advance payment, performance bond).Prepares the New Work Booked form for jobs awarded.Provides the status of pending prospects with updated information periodically.Plans and coordinates the day-to-day business service operations of a small project or in support of a larger program.Works with management to formulate policies and strategies to provide overall direction.Establishes administrative controls and reporting criteria for service functions in accordance with established Bechtel policies and procedures, client requirements, and applicable governmental regulations.Monitors the performance of the organization against the requirements, tax implications, and any special provisions affecting operations.Works with client and government auditors, providing required financial and other data to operating personnel and project offices.Prepares billing instructions for new jobs and conducts special studies of job costs, overhead costs, and profits as appropriate.Ensures the project conforms to Bechtel's procedures, principles, and policies for the functional areas of responsibility.Develops accounting and other business controls and procedures particular to the project or office.Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.Required Knowledge and Skills: TechnicalEngineering and/or construction experience in the mining and metals market segments.Highly skilled in Excel (Expert level proficiency required).Proficient in Power BI.Experienced in cost analysis and cost estimate; capable of resolving a wide range of issues in creative ways.Works on diverse and complex problems, requiring thorough data analysis and evaluation of multiple factors.Demonstrates good judgment in selecting pricing parameters and methods to achieve effective solutions.Leadership and IndependenceDemonstrates experience in leading complex tasks and/or processes.Minimal supervision with broad discretion for judgment, and the ability to work independently.Collaboration and CommunicationMaintains strong working relationships with team members, excelling in communication and collaboration across functions and disciplines.Conflict resolution skills, fostering positive outcomes in team or stakeholder interactions.Empathy and active listening to build trust and strengthen relationships with team members and stakeholders.Proficiency in English is a plus.Problem Solving and Professional GrowthCritical thinking to evaluate options and make well-informed decisions.Resilience and perseverance in navigating complex and uncertain situations.Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends and best practices.Bechtel is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
