Relocation Authorized: NoneTelework Type: Part-Time TeleworkWork Location: SantiagoJob Summary: In this role, you will lead a process team to deliver studies and projects for our mining customers, work with other engineering disciplines, procurement and construction to deliver projects that meet and exceed our customer's expectations for quality, cost, schedule, safety and benefit to their business. Provide technical leadership and expertise, and work with your teams to help them develop their technical skills. Interface with clients to understand their requirements and needs and developing solutions that are fit-for-purpose and cost effective. There will be opportunities for site-based work, international assignments and technical specialization based on your performance. Bechtel is particularly seeking experience in copper leaching for this role.
This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership. Major Responsibilities: Leading a process team on studies and projects.Developing and checking the process deliverables that are typical of detailed engineering (such as design criteria, mass & energy balances, process flow diagrams, equipment sizing calculations, P&IDs, control philosophy).Coordinating with other engineering disciplines, procurement, construction, vendors, consultants, subject matter experts and client teams to deliver the project successfully.Contributing to the review and optimizations of project design, cost, safety, constructability, and schedule.Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Minerals Processing or Chemical Engineering, and 20 years of relevant experience.Required Knowledge and Skills: At least 20 years of experience in process engineering.At least 10 years of experience as an engineer working in detailed design in the minerals industry, including direct experience in developing the typical detailed engineering deliverables.Experience in design and operation of copper leaching.Well-developed skills in teamwork, communication and problem solving.Diverse teams build the extraordinary: As a global company, Bechtel has long been home to a vibrant multitude of nationalities, cultures, ethnicities, and life experiences.
