Liberty Mutual is seeking a Head of Compliance for our Latin America operations to oversee and lead compliance across the region. Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, Global Risk Solutions, the Head of Latam Compliance will serve as the regional compliance and ethics leader, overseeing the LatAm region and teams, and providing highly specialized regional compliance and ethics support to protect the business and enable key business strategies aligned with our global compliance strategy, identity and values, and local compliance programs.Resumes must be submitted in English for considerationResponsibilities:- Provides compliance and ethics advice and oversight of the LatAm region and carries out actions which have an impact upon the rights, privileges and responsibilities of the Company.- Fosters our ethical culture aligned with our Code of Business Ethics and Conduct, high standards of integrity and professional responsibility. Sets regional LatAm compliance and ethics strategy in alignment with business strategies, global compliance strategy, and company identity and values.- Provides proactive advice to both protect and advance the business and enable key business strategy.- Oversees regional compliance staff, ensuring alignment with global compliance strategy and local compliance programs.- Partners with cross-functional teams and control functions to promote integrated assurance and control frameworks.- Collaborates closely with Legal to manage compliance, regulatory, and reputational risks.- Cultivates a culture of accountability with a leadership team empowered to proactively tackle complex issues.- Provides rigorous oversight in the region, including driving of robust processes to manage compliance risk.- Provides advice on wide ranging compliance and ethics issues and spearheads or participates in policy formulation.- Conducts research and analysis in specialized areas.- Spearheads and coordinates the company's response to changes in regulatory frameworks- May act as a technical expert across compliance and ethics, while also managing, assigning and reviewing the work of other professionals.Qualifications:- Has served in a Senior Legal and/or Compliance leadership capacity with oversight of compliance operations within the Latin America Region, which includes a legal degree and the necessary higher education.- A minimum of 15 years prior experience leading compliance teams across Latin America within the insurance industry; including expertise in financial crimes.- Expert knowledge of legal and compliance matters and the regulatory requirements that vary across the region.- Demonstrates international expertise and savvy, cultural awareness and sensitivity, and the ability to work with and influence varied customer groups effectively.- Displays strong communication, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and team building skills.- Advanced presentation, influencing, and relationship management skills.- Strong business operations knowledge to include understanding the function`s value chain and market conditions strongly preferred.- Strong language and cultural skills. Bi-lingual in English and Spanish capability is necessary. Portuguese is preferred.#J-18808-Ljbffr
