Primary Functions & Responsibilities: Lead the monthly payroll process. Maintain the labor documents and human resources software (local and international) updated. With the guidance of the Regional Human Resources Business Partner, serve as a trusted confidant to the Country Director and other local senior managers, helping them to proactively solve local human resources matters. Responsible for all the local recruitment processes in Chile, including the elaboration of contracts and onboarding of new staff. Help the Country Director with staffing plans aligned to key projects and deliverables. Responsible for safety and security procedures for TechnoServe Chile; managing security procedures and implementing protocols in compliance with TechnoServe policies and procedures and local labor law. Act as the focal Security Point. Ensure that all employment contracts are compliant with local laws, with special attention to differentiation between definite and indefinite contracts. Identify and develop a working relationship with local legal counsel. Lead local ethics and conflict-of-interest investigations, under the guidance of the Human Resources Business Partner. Responsible for managing the entire performance evaluation process for the TechnoServe Chile office, from goal planning to implementation of salary increases for staff. Help interpret Human Resources policies to fit the local context. Fully participate in TechnoServe's Human Resources Community of Practice, providing solutions and lessons learned throughout the organization. Partner with Headquarters-Human Resources professionals in the development of initiatives and programs. Adapt global protocols and programs to the local context; develop a sourcing strategy and a searchable database of potential candidates. Help the Human Resources Business Partner evaluate salary data and salary scales and adhere to TechnoServe compensation guidelines. Network with Human Resources Managers in other similar organizations to keep on top of country-specific trends. Arrange activities to maintain/promote/communicate TechnoServe culture, values, and principles. Promote activities to integrate employees. Other specific activities as needed. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources area or equivalent. 7 years' experience in a relevant field related to Human Resources. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Human Resources or MBA in HRM preferred. Required Languages: Spanish / English Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills. Teamwork.
