Job Title: Human Resources Manager
Location: Santiago, Chile
Salary: CLP 20,000,000 - 40,000,000 per year
Primary Functions & Responsibilities:Oversee the monthly payroll process and ensure timely payment to employees.Maintain accurate and up-to-date labor documents and human resources software for both local and international use.In partnership with the Regional Human Resources Business Partner, provide strategic HR guidance to the Country Director and other senior managers on local HR matters.Lead all local recruitment efforts in Chile, including contract creation and new staff onboarding.
Collaborate with the Country Director to develop staffing plans aligned to key projects and deliverables.Develop and implement safety and security protocols for TechnoServe Chile, ensuring compliance with local labor law and company policies.Ensure that all employment contracts adhere to local laws, with a focus on differentiating between definite and indefinite contracts.Foster a working relationship with local legal counsel to address HR-related matters.Investigate ethics and conflict-of-interest cases under the guidance of the Human Resources Business Partner.Manage the performance evaluation process for the TechnoServe Chile office, from goal setting to salary increases.Interpret HR policies in the context of the local market.Contribute to the Human Resources Community of Practice, sharing solutions and best practices across the organization.Partner with Headquarters-Human Resources professionals to develop initiatives and programs tailored to the local environment.Adapt global HR protocols and programs to fit the local context, creating a sourcing strategy and candidate database.Collaborate with the Human Resources Business Partner to analyze salary data and compensation scales, adhering to TechnoServe's compensation guidelines.Nurture relationships with HR Managers in similar organizations to stay informed about country-specific trends.Organize activities promoting TechnoServe culture, values, and principles among employees.Foster employee integration and engagement.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.7 years of experience in a relevant HR role.Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in Human Resources or an MBA with a focus on HRM.Required Languages:Spanish / English
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Collaborative approach, strong written and verbal communication skills, and cultural awareness.Teamwork and confidentiality.Knowledge of Chilean labor law and ethics.Experience managing payroll, labor contracts, terminations, and other HR tasks in Chile.Supervisory Responsibilities:HR and Administration teams.
