Position of Full-Time (Tenure Track) Assistant Professor at Communication School. Call The Communication School at Diego Portales University calls for applications to fullfil a vacant for a full-time , tenure track, assistant professor with a specialization in digital communication.
Functions Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Advertising and Journalism (four courses a year in total, one of them can be in a graduate program). Conducting research . A minimum productivity of three WoS or four Scopus articles is expected every two years, as an author or co-author. Applying to external funds for scientific research projects (Fondecyt or similar) and/or funds oriented to the productive environment (Corfo, Fondef or similar). Carrying out other strategic tasks that the Communication School determines. Application General and specific requirements to apply :
PhD related to communication and new technologies. At least two articles already published or accepted in journals with WoS or Scopus indexing, as author or co-author. Professional experience of at least 2 years in projects related to digital communication such as: artificial intelligence; UX/UI; data analysis and visualization; digital metrics and audiences; digital product development, digital advertising discourse, etc. Experience of at least 2 years in undergraduate teaching. Pre-selection based on requested background. Those who do not meet the requirements or have not accompanied all the background information indicated above will be excluded immediately. Background analysis to call for an interview. In this stage, the Office of the Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation will participate to evaluate the scientific productivity of the applicants. Interview: in addition to verifying the aptitudes for the position of the pre-selected applicants, the working conditions in which they would perform the position will be informed.
