Job Description We are seeking a passionate EHS and Facilities Manager to oversee and lead our mission-driven organization's safety and facility departments. This individual will assist in maintaining the functionality of the facilities while continuing to uphold a healthy and accident-free work environment. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Facilities Management: Supervises and directs the facilities maintenance team who handles all repairs, operation of facilities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems. Facilitates the maintenance schedule of company equipment and facilities to ensure proper operation and appropriate availability. Manages vendor relationships for facility services. Manages the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective operations. Plans and coordinates facility improvement projects and renovations. EHS Management: Serves as the driver of our safety culture. Develops, implements, and maintains EHS policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. Provides guidance and support to team members on EHS matters including triaging work-related injuries. Leads safety committee meetings and initiatives while fostering a proactive approach to risk management. Drives EHS awareness by demonstrating safe behavior, continuous improvement, and identifying safety concerns. Manages facility environmental programs including hazardous waste monitoring, governmental reporting, air/water permitting, etc. to ensure conformance with company policies and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Conducts regular audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards including OSHA 300 reporting. Develops and facilitates safety training to new and existing team members, focusing on EHS best practices and emergency response. Investigates incidents and accidents, prepares reports and recommends corrective actions. Reporting and Compliance: Prepares and submits required compliance-related documentation and reports to local, state, and federal regulatory agencies. Manages company vehicle protocol, follows DOT regulations, and MVR reporting. Monitors and tracks compliance with environmental and safety regulations, recommending policy changes as necessary. Maintains records of EHS training, inspections, reference manuals, regulations, and incidents. Collaboration: Works closely with HR, operations, and other departments to promote a culture of safety and sustainability. Participates in cross-functional teams to improve workplace safety and facility efficiency. REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Facilities Management, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management and facilities operations, or a combination of. Knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management software. OSHA 30-hour General Industry and Safety Health card. Working knowledge of Federal and State Indiana occupational safety, health and environmental regulations, with strong knowledge of OSHA regulations. Working knowledge of environmental wastewater systems. Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Strong document management skills and attention to detail.
