In the Terminal & Infrastructure segment, Hapag-Lloyd has stakes in 20 terminals in Europe, Latin America, the United States, India, and North Africa.
The roughly 2,600 employees assigned to the Terminal & Infrastructure segment handle terminal-related activities and provide complementary logistics services at selected locations.
In Region Latin America, we are looking for our next Director of Reefer, Special Cargo and DG for our Viña del Mar office.
The main responsibilities and tasks of the position are: Drive performance with the Areas ensuring that volume targets are delivered for all three Niche segments: Reefers, Special Cargo & Dangerous Goods.
Establish marketing plans for each segment to allow for a detailed follow-up with Areas ensuring that volume and CL2/TEU targets are met.
Lead BU/ FCx processes for all three Niches in RLA being the main liaison with Reefer, Special Cargo and DG team in Hamburg.
Coordinate and drive business development with the Areas with the objective to grow volumes by growing existing business and acquiring new customers.
Closely coordinate with GNP teams to leverage existing relationships to maximize the value for all three Niches.
Responsible for Regional strategy translation and execution for all Niches in alignment with Reefer, Special Cargo and DG team in Hamburg.
Close coordination of all actions and tasks with Reefer, Special Cargo and DG team in Hamburg to ensure alignment with tactical goals and overall global strategy.
Closely align with Trade Management on targets set and trade strategy.
Initiate process improvements and best practice sharing across Regions and Areas.
Assist Areas with contract conditions for Niche customers.
Continuous business optimization review and evaluate options for improvement.
Participation in Regional / Area performance calls.
Participation in Trade and Commodity Fairs.
Identification and arrangement of Niche product training as required.
Close coordination with Regional Ops department to ensure equipment steering activities are in line with Niche product strategy as well as targets agreed.
Drive the highest levels of quality towards our customers, be customer-oriented and create value for customers as well as for Hapag-Lloyd.
Requirements and Qualifications: University Degree in Industrial Engineering , Business Administration or similar.
Minimun of 5 years of experience in the Shipping Industry.
Advanced level in English (Written and Spoken).
Skills in Spanish language is a plus.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to organize and review data with accuracy.
Ability to identify the root cause of complex issues, develop ideas how to solve the issue and determine and implement the required business changes.
Proven leadership experience, team player with the ability to motivate others and drive change.
Willingness to travel for short periods.
Additional Information Contract Conditions: permanent contract with local conditions (Chilean law is applicable).
