This position oversees the budget, forecasting, and consolidation processes in the country.
The core responsibility is ensuring the finance function effectively supports the market in reaching its financial targets.
Additionally, this role focuses on enhancing cost efficiencies, establishing robust reporting, and building strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to meet sales objectives and serve as a role model within the organization.
Key Responsibilities: As a part of the Chile Leadership Team, drive value creation through providing the business with adequate financial insights to drive better operational and strategic decisions.Develop and drive efficiency initiatives to constantly improve the service given to the business.Provide ongoing input from a financial perspective for business decision-making, e.g., optimum transfer pricing model, sales compensation structure, sales terms, accounts receivable aging, inventory levels, clearance and phase-out evaluation.Establish processes to closely manage key financial parameters of sales, including returns, OWC, inventory coverage, DSO, and cash flow to achieve annual targets.Lead the yearly budgeting process and establish alignment with the respective departments and with Group.Lead and drive the Finance Team to constantly challenge the status quo and to drive efficiency initiatives.Work closely with external stakeholders such as suppliers, banks, and customers to improve the performance environment of the business, i.e., identifying efficiency potentials with banks and working with customers to achieve all cash collection targets while addressing customer needs.Drive the IBP/Profitability process to drive Net Sales and Margin forecasting with optimal accuracy.Drive the controlling and forecasting with great accuracy, contributing to the achievement of targets and the continuous improvement of financial performance.Provide accurate monthly financial reporting to the regional team, including timely submission.Monitor the financial KPIs, address shortcomings to local Management, and help the business develop respective solutions.Proactively identify, evaluate, and drive opportunities to reduce costs.Ensure that the Accounting is in line with Group/IFRS/local standards.Proactively manage the balance sheet and P&L monthly, securing OWC targets and financial healthiness.Deliver high-quality information in relation to all Group Treasury initiatives, e.g., Bank Account Manager (BAM), Liquidity Planner (12 months direct cash flow planning).Ensure that the risk appetite of the company is reflected in the credit management practices.Monitor AR KPIs and define adequate action steps to ensure that the Company's targets are met.Ensure high employee engagement at every level through effective motivation, coaching, training, and development of personnel in the team.Key Relationships: Chile General Manager and FLMVP Finance LAM and Finance Leadership teamFinance counterparts of key customersGroup functions e.g., Treasury, Accounting, Tax, InsuranceService providersBankersAuditorsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong business analytical and numerical skills (with proven business acumen).Strong managerial and operational skills.High sense of organization and precision.Project and process management skills.Ability to lead, motivate, and develop Finance, Demand Planning & Office Management team.Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: University degree in business management.More than 10 years of functional experience in finance department and at least 3 years of leadership experience as Head of Department.Fluent in English and Spanish.Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of a multicultural organization.Leadership skills are essential; check our website to deep dive on our culture and values.AT ADIDAS WE HAVE A WINNING CULTURE.
