Job Summary: In this role, you will provide project field engineering specialization and expertise with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and subcontract coordination.
Your recommendations will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements.
Major Responsibilities: Work Planning & Packaging Preparing construction drawings and sketches.
Facilitating planning construction methods and procedures.
Material Management Initiating requisitions for field purchases.
Preparing quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.
Quantities Verifying commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.
Safety / Quality Control Ensuring zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
Technical Proactively considering continuous learning or show interest to pursue appropriate learning activities.
System Turnover Coordinator For Direct Hire: Developing firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development.
STR / Subcontract Coordinator Reviewing and approving inspection test plans.
Coordinating reviews of subcontractor submittals.
Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree in engineering and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
Previous work experience in a construction and mining company.
Required Knowledge and Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Cards, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office to prepare spreadsheets, monitoring and control.
Knowledge of Autocad.
Notions of construction (civil, piping, mechanical, structure, or electrical).
Motivation, problem-solving skills, proactivity and teamwork.
