Bechtel is acting as Project Management Consultant (PMC) for Minera Doña Inés de Collahuasi's C20+, which will install a desalination plant at Puerto Patache (Tarapacá region) that will optimize the current operation and extend its useful life. Water from this plant will be transported via a pipeline from the coast to the mine site, located at 4,400 meters above sea level. The water supply system's scope includes the supply of lined pipe, marine works and desalination, pump stations and pipelines, as well as the electrical transmission system and camps. As PMC, Bechtel will manage engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and other activities, including control and verification that all work performed by contractors complies with the schedule, specifications, regulations, codes, standards and engineering practices identified in the contracts.
Job Summary: In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out the coordination meetings with the different disciplines that are necessary in a multifunctional project, to integrate them with the information object of your position; for this activity you must issue the invitations 48 hours in advance, with the systems and subsystems to be reviewed, as well as the diagrams that apply that can be layout, PI&D, Unilinear, in addition the scope of the skyline to be reviewed under the philosophy of quality and safety as an integral part of the activity, to avoid rework and exposure of people and equipment, during the walks or walk-downs that you convene.
Major Responsibilities: Working on Planning & Packaging and ensuring Material Management.Verifying commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.Ensuring zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.Proactively considering continuous learning or shows interest to pursue appropriate learning activities.Coordinating reviews of subcontractor submittals.Coordinating together with the EPC the execution of the Project Walks for all Systems / Subsystems of the PRECOM Processes.Participating in the opening of each Punch List point that derives from the PRECOM Walks.Controlling the closing status of each Punch List point by System / Subsystem.Controlling the Reportability of the opening and closing status of Punch List by System / Subsystem.Ensuring the management and control of information from the Tie-Ins of the project.Education and Experience Requirements: Required bachelor's degree in any related discipline such as administration, engineering, or other (or international equivalent), and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 10-12 years of relevant work experience in construction.Required Knowledge and Skills: Previous work experience in construction and pre commissioning.Previous experience in handling of TOP files.Experience in controlling the Reportability of issuance of TOP Folders and provide technical advice to the EPC on the completion of the TOP Folders.Previous knowledge in auditing the status of preparation and completion of the EPC TOP Folders, for each System / Subsystem, based on the CMDIC Procedure.Required ability in data base administration.Ability to provide technical advice to the EPC on the Walk process, which ensures compliance with CMDIC requirements.Intermediate-Advanced English level.For decades, Bechtel has worked to inspire the next generation of engineers and beyond!
