Role Summary: This position is primarily intended for operating a conventional milling machine for machining keyways on shafts, although support in other areas such as conventional lathe or broaching is also expected as required by the factory workload.
Once the piece is finished, they will be responsible for inspecting the dimensions to release it from the process.
The Conventional Machine Operator will report directly to the Production Supervisor.
Responsibilities: Respect, comply with, and enforce the safety procedures/policies established by the company by actively participating in related activities.
Respect, promote, and collaborate in the cleanliness and tidiness of the work areas, maintaining order in them at all times.
Collaborate in the preservation and care of equipment, tools, and general-purpose measuring instruments under their responsibility, using them correctly for their intended purpose.
Seek new knowledge and work methods, share knowledge with the rest of the team.
Actively participate in continuous improvement projects.
Perform inspections of each manufactured piece, recording them in each production order along with their blueprint.
Other assigned tasks.
Requirements: Mechanical technician or similar.
Experience in conventional machining.
Knowledge of machining operations and the use of measuring instruments.
Good interpersonal, communication, negotiation, analysis, and presentation skills.
Flexibility to provide support in different areas of the workshop depending on the workload.
Problem-solving abilities.
