Who You'll Work With You will be based in our Santiago, Chile office as part of Operations Analytics in Latin America.

Your impact within our firm You will communicate data science features and capabilities to internal and external stakeholders with an eye to identify business needs and uncover areas for deeper data exploration.
In this role, you will play a key consultative and client-facing role in the development of big data and advanced analytics as a refined yet evolving capability of our client teams who advise the top firms in the Operations sector. You will work with clients to help make the connection between our data science capability and real-world tangible impact and insight. You will act as a thought partner with analytics colleagues in the selection of techniques used for data modeling as well as establish operating practices to ensure high quality and efficient extraction and transformation of data.
Additionally, you will engage with our clients to create new strategies across a wide platform of projects from automation to mine optimization to predictive maintenance and more. You will not only expand our current analytics capabilities but will help architect new strategies and applications within a dynamic innovative organization.
Your qualifications and skills Undergraduate degree in computer science, applied math, statistics, engineering or related quantitative field; master's or PhD degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, applied statistics or mathematics is a plus2+ years of technical and management experience in distributed computing, machine learning and statistics-related work preferably within heavy industry, basic materials (e.g., metals & mining) or service industriesTechnical experience in predictive analytics, deep learning, machine learning, data mining and/or optimization in an operations-related field (e.g., manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, workforce management and/or fleet scheduling)Experience in defining and/or implementing digital strategies and analytics across all stages of the value chain is a plusKnowledge of Tableau/PowerBIProgramming experience in R and/or Python; SQL is a plusAbility to independently own and drive model development, balancing demands and deadlinesAbility to prototype statistical analysis and modeling algorithms and apply these algorithms for data driven solutions to problems in new domainsStrong communication skills especially around breaking down complex structures into digestible and relevant points for a diverse set of clients and colleaguesSkills to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and written, in English and SpanishWillingness to travel up to 80%
