About the Role X-Ray and Imaging has an opportunity for a motivated and dedicated Sonographer to take a step up in the leadership chain and lead our Sonographers across our 6 practices. Located at either Caloundra or Maroochydore, the Chief Sonographer reports to the Territory Manager and will balance responsibilities of this role while supporting and participating in on site clinical duties. Key Responsibilities - Demonstrating a high level of technical ability and skills in the production of high-quality imaging. - Assist the Radiologists with complex scanning techniques and special ultrasound procedures. - Advise and consult on the prioritizing of ultrasound bookings in line with clinical indications. - Accurate operation of RIS and PACS. - Supervising a team of sonographers, ensuring a high standard of work and compliance with the business' policies and procedures. - Compiling rosters for a team of sonographers across all the territory sites and manage annual leave and sick leave requests and identify any gaps in the roster that need to be filled through recruitment. - Managing sonography team in relation to rostered hours and patient bookings. - Assisting management with ongoing company growth and development. - Other duties as directed by the Territory Manager. About You As Chief Sonographer, you have a comprehensive approach to medical imaging services, including strong clinical focus that provides high quality, accurate medical imaging services to refers and patients. - Highly developed interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build effective relationships and communicate with a diverse range of people internally and externally. - 5+ years' experience working in Radiology practice as a Sonographer. - Demonstrated ability to manage a busy team environment. - A leadership style that is holistic and supportive. - Effective time management. - A willingness to participate in further education and continue professional development programs.
