In this role you will define, develop, deploy and lead multiple Apple's Strategic Channel Sales programs throughout their lifecycle. You will own these efforts across the different channel routes-to-market (Retailers, Carriers, Distributors, Enterprise, Education, and Independent Reseller Partners), depending on top strategic priorities. The success of these programs is dependent on the coordinated efforts of several key teams within Apple. This position is directly responsible and accountable for successfully orchestrating the cross-functional work at the country and regional levels including interactions with global teams in Sales, Marcom, Finance, Sales Training/Communications, Operations, Legal, Engineering and Services.
Description Build and continuously maintain a well-rounded understanding of regional sales strategies and channel marketing strategies/plans. Lead cross-functional discussions —horizontally and vertically—to distill needs, priorities, risks and impacts associated with multiple projects/programs. Program manage complex planning and development of comprehensive channel sales programs across route to markets (RTM) including:
Define the program (converting a strategic theoretical idea into an executable program and project structure).Gain executive approval for the overall program.Identify, document, maintain and follow-up daily on all tasks, dependencies, and due dates. Document Program objectives, strategy, and decisions. Monitor program execution.Handle and communicate progress against tasks and deliverables as needed for successful on-time program completion.Lead coordinated program launches with multiple teams.Ensure that all applicable teams (including partner teams) are properly trained, have the adequate tools, and are ready to support programs from launch forward.Provide detailed and actionable written and verbal communication and insight into programs performance to the various levels of the Sales organization and to cross-functional partners.Organize/align meeting agendas, providing immediate meeting minutes and promptly adjusting actions on internal tools.Terminate programs to "business as usual" mode after they are launched, as aligned with prioritization decision makers.Minimum Qualifications 8+ years of proven experience in sales, channel programs development or sales operations experience in the technology industry.Well-rounded experience in business planning and strategy with proven implementation skills; ability to translate, shape and implement a strategic idea into a program/project structure.Proven experience in sales program management with channel partners, with strong awareness of the balance between tactical sales execution and goals, and the importance of brand and standards for the channel.Solid business knowledge to connect the dots among seemingly independent subjects and to challenge cross-functional teams and partners to achieve the desired results.Foresight to anticipate risks and mobilize cross-functional teams to eliminate or minimize such risks in a timely manner, with a "no surprises" approach.Proactive with a strong problem-solving ability; mental agility to anticipate challenges and to quickly react and engage the appropriate teams.Exceptional ability to manage complex programs involving multiple teams/phases and conflicting interests.Proactive in driving programs moving forward in a completely non-project oriented, non-project based organization.Exceptional analytical skills and obsessive attention to detail.Ability to juggle programs with multiple stakeholders and to deliver with exceptional consistency and quality in every one of them.Sharp and crisp verbal and written communications skills -- from flawless meeting minutes to executive summaries, to presenting to executives.Fluency in English and Spanish required.Preferred Qualifications Ability to be an effective and efficient leader in physical and virtual teams.Honed interpersonal skills to quickly connect and build strong professional partnerships with internal and external partners.Bachelor's degree preferred. Advanced degree a plus.
