About The Role Uber is shaping the future of grocery and retail by building the world's largest marketplace for on-demand local commerce. A key part of this is delivering an exceptional experience through our product catalog. The Catalog Ops Manager will support Regional Catalog Management and drive improvements in our Global Catalog. This role spans multiple areas, including assortment, content, availability, pricing, promotions, and search. You'll align global catalog strategies across countries, share best practices, and foster cohesive catalog management. By gathering local market insights and collaborating with global teams, you'll help reduce discrepancies and boost efficiency. In this role, you'll work on data extraction, analysis, and operational tasks, balancing analytics with hands-on project execution. You'll use SQL and other tools to extract key insights, prioritize tasks, and drive improvements in catalog performance. What You'll Do Analytical Deep Dives & Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze performance metrics to measure the success of strategies and initiatives. Build and maintain trackers, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to local teams and stakeholders. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal teams, including local catalog, product ops, and tech to gain support for initiatives that drive growth and track progress across the regions. Build & Scale Ops Processes: Create and scale processes Globally, enabling the business to operate efficiently and grow. Use data-driven decision-making to understand performance and prioritize high-impact processes. Operational Project & Task Execution: Carry out projects, including creating launch and expansion plans, aligning team members, tracking issues, conducting root-cause analyses, and measuring marketplace performance. Basic Qualifications BA/BS or equivalent practical experience. A minimum of 4 years of experience in operations, strategy, analytics, or tech. Data driven and action oriented, with advanced planning & organizational skills. Strong data analysis skills, with advanced: SQL, Google Sheets and Excel. Strong communication skills, able to convey ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical teams. Professional proficiency in English. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with catalogs in e-commerce or technology. Skilled at turning large datasets into actionable insights. Strong multitasking and prioritization skills. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently. Analytical orientation with a curiosity about framing business questions with data and translating business needs into useful solutions that scale.
