JOB TITLE: Back-End First Engineer (MERN stack, with KoaJS, Docker). WHAT IS WYNTER? Wynter is a fast growing early stage startup. Last year we grew 2x YoY, the future looks bright. Our active customer base includes some of the biggest companies in the world. Industry-leading B2B companies use Wynter to nail their marketing and product messaging through customer research and message testing. We're creating a new sub-category of on-demand and subscription ICP research for B2B SaaS companies. This is a 100% remote position, for time zones suitable for working with teams both in Europe and the United States. We look to get together, brainstorm business, and build relationships at offsite team retreats 1-2x / year: recent destinations include Lisbon, Portugal and Athens, Greece! ABOUT THE ROLE As a backend-first engineer, you'll have the opportunity to push Wynter's product and platform in new directions while also shaping the next iterations of applications our customers already love. You'll help define the technical roadmap and implementation for the future of our customer-facing applications and APIs. From building scalable applications end to end, you'll hone your skills across multiple domains while helping drive forward our product and vision. EVERYDAY WORK: Design, develop, and deploy API and backend services focusing on scalability, high availability, and low latency. Build and operate toolset, infrastructure, and deployment pipelines. Continuously improve Wynter product by innovating the services and enhance product team agility by planning and implementing A/B tests and feature flags to speed up deployment cycles before features are ready. Understand functional documentation (user stories) and translate these into technical solutions. Collaborate with other engineers, product owners, and designers to identify and solve challenging problems and new features. Be a valued member of an agile team to continuously experiment, iterate and deliver on new product objectives, focused mainly on API and database architecture. Take operational responsibility for the services owned by the product team, and ensure minimal downtime. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 5+ years of experience building scalable web applications and APIs with large volumes of data using NodeJS framework. Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms and applying them to design pragmatic solutions. Strong grasp of API and database modeling and know how to apply patterns. Git High-quality attitude, aiming to deliver clear and maintainable code. Pride in delivering delightful user experiences and advocating technical excellence. Fluent written and verbal communication skills (min. B2, C1 English Level). Effective AI copilot usage ability. NICE TO HAVE KoaJS. Orchestrating containerized applications to run on a cluster of hosts using Kubernetes. CI/CD pipelines and how to apply effectively in monorepo of applications and packages. AI models and pipelines, integrating them to deliver value in customer-facing apps. WHY JOIN WYNTER?
