Job DescriptionThe 5x2 work schedule.Based in Santiago, Titanium Building.Hybrid mode, office and remote work.Fluent in written and spoken English (Mandatory).Travel availability approx. 30%.PURPOSE Deliver assurance audit projects covering design and operating effectiveness of the internal control environment for Base Metals.
TYPICAL TASKS Plan, resource and manage delivery of assigned audit projects in accordance with ABAS standards and methodology.Conduct analysis of audit findings within Base Metals to identify themes and issues for management to address. Communicate findings to HR&As and other stakeholders regarding ramifications of control weaknesses.Consolidate audit findings and draft audit reports.Identify value add and improvement initiatives through audit observations.Control time and cost of audit projects, reporting potential time/cost overruns to the Assurance Manager.Engage with colleagues, internal audit, and business management in a professional, constructive and cooperative manner.Motivate and direct project team members to produce consistent, high-quality performance.Stay abreast of international best practices in auditing standards and technologies.Actively participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives and processes.QualificationsKnowledge IIA standards and general acceptable auditing techniques.Relevant company policies, procedures, standards and controls.Knowledge of ERPs and other relevant audit software tools:ERP (Ellipse, SAP)Teammate (Assurance and Risk module)IT, Data Analytics and/or Digital internal audit experience.Experience in mining.Written and spoken English.Technical Skills Ability to:
Use a range of data and information sources to perform analysis and produce management reports.Apply Governance and Compliance knowledge to organisational processes and procedures and to understand how governance, risk and compliance processes impact on the business.Social Process Skills Ability to:
Develop relationships with senior management in the business units and functions.Initiate cross boundary collaboration with peers and teams across the business.Adapt influencing style to different situations, client groups and teams.Express and debate audit views and close-out reports with various senior stakeholders.Understand and explain commercial and operational audit issues.Any other requirements to perform the work effectively Essential: A relevant degree and/or professional qualification e.g. CIMA, CIA or CISA.At least 8 years post qualification experience or equivalent internal audit experience.Experience in developing relationships with senior management in the business units and functions.Experience of working with cross-functional and where appropriate geographical teams with significant senior level engagement.Experience in auditing approaches and methodologies.Experience in preparing and producing high-quality and well-articulated documentation and reports.Fluent in written and spoken English.Travel availability approx. 30%.Application/Energy Consistently displays a positive and engaged manner.Motivated, consistently works to best of ability to meet performance criteria.Strives to do things significantly better.Additional InformationInclusion and Diversity
