The Department of Economics at the University of Chile is accepting applications for an Assistant Professor role, contingent on budget approval. Candidates from all economics fields are welcome, provided they hold a PhD in Economics or a closely related area by the appointment date.
The position requires strong potential for impactful research and effective teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels. Spanish fluency is not mandatory at the start, but candidates should be willing to teach in Spanish within a few years. International applicants will need a work visa, and the School of Economics and Business will support the successful candidate through the visa process, facilitated by the Chilean consulate in their country of residence.
