MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Agronomy or related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in agricultural management, preferably in fruits such as apple, pear and kiwi.
Strong knowledge of agricultural practices and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication in English and negotiation skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Contract Management: Negotiate contracts with farmers to ensure timely supply of fruit meeting quality standards.
Implement measures to prevent the use of closed bins.
Fruit Estimate and Quality Monitoring: Provide periodic estimates of harvest volume and quality.
Advise growers on pre-harvest practices and supervise operations.
Regulatory Compliance and Logistics: Ensure compliance with export regulations for targeted markets.
Coordinate logistics from orchards to packing plants.
Emergency and Crisis Management: Be available to handle emergency situations ensuring business continuity.
Communication and Documentation: Document all commitments with growers and follow up with email confirmations.
Strategy and Business Terms: Develop strategies to optimize grower relationships and business terms.
Implement the company's global sourcing model to expedite payments and promote competitiveness.
Sourcing Model Promotion: Advocate for the company's sourcing model to enhance negotiations with growers.
Supply Chain Management: Ensure timely acquisition and delivery of fruit, maintaining quality standards.
Volume Acquisition and Negotiation: Negotiate fruit volumes with growers, avoiding closed bins.
Grower Advisory and Supervision: Provide technical advice and supervision from pruning to harvesting.
Regulatory Compliance and Updates: Ensure adherence to export regulations and update growers on compliance requirements.
Logistics Coordination: Coordinate fruit transportation logistics with operations teams.
Quality Control: Manage quality control during harvest and coordinate with the quality team.
Data Submission and Reporting: Submit accurate reports on production and negotiation statuses.
Payments and Proactive Engagement: Ensure timely payments to growers and maintain proactive engagement.
Harvesting and Packing Procedures: Design procedures to optimize harvest and packing efficiency.
Grower Relations and Identification: Build relationships with existing and potential growers.
