Description Based in Santiago, you will be a senior member of the Chile analytical team at Aurora, delivering cutting-edge advisory services for clients across the energy transition. You will manage junior colleagues in developing insights to help clients make better strategic and investment choices. You will support all aspects of client engagement: helping identify issues, forming hypotheses, conducting analysis, synthesising conclusions into recommendations and presenting to key decision-makers in the industry. You will develop data-based strategic insights into the energy transition for both public and private sector clients. Successful candidates will work in a dynamic, stimulating, and demanding yet supportive environment. They will apply their interpersonal skills to build connected, co-operative project teams. They will be given responsibility to chart the path of their teams through projects, and opportunities to substantially influence the thinking of organisations across the energy sector. Over time, they will be able to grow into industry experts under the guidance of directors with deep experience addressing major strategic issues at the world's top advisory firms. The position suits an experienced analyst or associate from a top-tier strategic or economic consultancy, energy company, financial services company, or knowledge-focused firm or institution. The successful candidate will combine technical ability with a strong track record of leadership and dependable performance in team-oriented environments. Key Responsibilities Leading advisory projects for our clients, across a diverse range of energy transition technologies, business models and strategies, including planning out the work of the team and ensuring we maintain rigorous standards of analysis and clear communication of insights. Line management of junior analysts in the team to help them develop and coaching/managing analysts within a project. Supporting business development work, for example by contributing delivery plans to our proposals. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Required attributes: At least three years of experience at a major consultancy, energy company, financial services company, or other knowledge-focused firm or institution. First class or high second-class university degree. Demonstrated success in taking responsibility for project and process management in team-oriented environments. Proven ability to interpret and derive insight from complex quantitative data and information. Ability to communicate clearly and co-operate effectively with both technically and non-technically minded people. Self-starting, entrepreneurial mind-set, and desire to grow the business. Proficiency in English (C1 level). Written and spoken fluency in Spanish (C2 level). Desirable attributes: Previous experience of working on energy-related projects or policy – particularly in a Chilean context. Leadership, management or mentoring experience demonstrated by previous roles of professional responsibility or extracurricular activities. Demonstrated success in working together with clients. Competence in advanced data analytics (e.g. Python, R, Advanced Excel). Strong academic record, such as a Master's degree. The successful candidate would start in March 2025.
